We had a very successful launch of the new climate change app ‘You’re Getting Warmer!’ in Chapter Arts Centre. Over 50 people from from Riverside and Senghenydd, came to the screening to see the animations made by children from both communities. They audience participated in quiz questions on the subject of global warming as one teacher present commented, “It was absolutely fantastic and the children were buzzing with excitement. It was great to see them involved with work of such exceptional quality. Hopefully they will now view themselves as potential film makers.”
Gritty animators started workshops in Aberystwyth this week to create an animated version of Die Fledermaus. The WNO project involves schools in and around the town to produce a short film based on the comic opera by Strauss.
